Weekend workshop

Growing your friendship with God

We can all have a friendship with God. In fact we all do, it’s just that some of us don’t know it! Developing a real, fully functioning relationship with God is one of the most exciting, rewarding and moving things we can do.

There are a thousand ways to grow a friendship with God. However the fruits of cultivating this friendship remain the same: we feel companioned, we feel guided and we feel supported. We experience God as an ever-present resource and a sense of oneness with our fellow human beings.

This weekend workshop is an opportunity to explore in an experiential, interactive and fun way the 7 steps to growing a friendship with God articulated in the best selling book Friendship with God by Neale Donald Walsch. Coming together with other like-hearted souls creates a field of energy where insights and remembrances can emerge more quickly and abundantly. Come and set your soul free!

Igniting your awareness

Moving into stillness can be a challenge for many of us with busy lives. We will practice some different approaches including sitting, walking and moving meditation. Going beyond the mind and communing the Divine can transform your whole experience of life in all its ups and downs, trials and triumphs.

To know God you have to be out of your mind. One of the most effective ways to get out of your mind is to get into your body. 5 Rhythms® is a moving meditation practice designed to do just that. There will be a 1.5 hour session led by Clare Backwell, an accredited teacher. Clare has been teaching for 5 years and has a clear and down-to-earth approach making this practice easily accessible to everyone regardless of age, ability or experience. Please bring loose comfortable clothes and soft shoes.

We will also do some story-telling, journaling and sharing in small groups. Muriel will be our resident musician for the weekend and will help us to drop into our heart space by singing her own songs full of soul and beauty. Muriel has performed at events with Neale Donald Walsch and Louise Hay amongst others!

The team

Along with Sarah Rozenthuler, helping to hold the space will be Tricia Wilson and Ralf Klein. Tricia has over 20 years experience coaching individuals and facilitating groups in both spiritual and business settings. Ralf runs workshops on grief recovery in Germany and completed his training with Neale Donald Walsch in 2008.
